Hey y’all! (okay, anyone else automatically think of Paula Deen when you hear that? Boy, that lady is all over the news these days.)

I have a new phone background…this flower! It started as seeds in a pot of dirt a couple months ago and now look! It looks like a firework.

For all you DC/Northern VA readers, I went to Passionfish in Reston Town Center last weekend and I highly recommend these two dishes:

Beet and Goat Cheese Salad (those little pecan nuggets were delicious!)

Peruvian Style Ceviche. The fish was tilapia. It had a bite to it from the habanero, but nothing unmanageable (and that’s coming from someone who’s pretty sensitive to spicy stuff).

I’ve been all about fish lately (okay, always). I had a juicy sesame crusted ahi tuna steak at a work meeting/dinner. Sweet thai chili sauce never gets old.

How. awesome. is. this?!?!

And I love these two mugs. The gee in my whiz. Awwww.

Or a big bag of tortilla chips, but you know…

I went to the library the other day (for the first time in years) and found two marathon/running books! I don’t always read but when I do it’s about running.

I’ve only thumbed through them, but so far so good!

I also got Downton Abbey Seasons 1 + 2 at the library, which I haven’t watched yet. Any Downton Abbey fans out there?

Alrighty, I’ve got a busy weekend ahead. Have a good one, y’all.

Tell me: Which books are currently on your nightstand?
